Nappies for All; Interest Free Nappy Loans

Nappies for All is a scheme that enables parents to benefit from an interest free loan to purchase washable nappies or washing facilities.

Funded by Family Services and North Cornwall District Council, you simply pay back an agreed monthly amount until the loan is paid off; often less than the equivalent monthly spend on disposables so you start saving right away!

Because you may need a washing machine for washable nappies you can also use this loan to purchase a washing / drying machine.

Who can benefit?

The scheme is open to any parent over the age of 18 who lives in Cornwall; loans of up to £250 for nappies and £250 for washing facilities are available on a first come first served basis.

How to apply

We have agreements with a number of retailers. They are all aware of the scheme and are able to provide the level of post sales support that we require. We also try to encourage you to buy locally – this is better for you and also helps support your local retailer.

Step 1 Decide upon the nappy system that you wish to use (your chosen retailer can help or we offer a try before you buy scheme. For just £10 you can road test a wide range of nappies for up to a month to see what suits you and your baby best).

Step 2 Place your order with your chosen retailer who will run through the necessary paperwork with you.

Step 3 Start using your real nappies, paying back as little as £5 per week until your loan is cleared.

Any Questions?

I already use washable nappies but need to buy more; can I still use the scheme?

Yes you can, as long as you live in Cornwall and are over 18.

Can I pay the loan off early?

Yes you can, and there is no charge to do this.

What happens if I change my mind?

You have 14 days from signing the credit agreement to change your mind; and as long as the goods are unused, you will get a full refund.

Can I get a second loan at a later stage?

You can get a second loan of up to £250 as long as you have settled your first loan. This allows you to buy more nappies at a later date.
