Natures Gift
Nature’s Gift is packaged in a fabric bag supplied by Bishopston Trading Company and contains samples, vouchers and information from the following companies: Lollipop Children’s Products, Lansinoh, Ecover, Spiezia, Roger Harvey Photography, Jean Barry Soap, Bishopstan Trading Co, Green People, Baby Organix, Bravado, Mums Maternity Store, Mooncup, The Mother Magazine, SusuMama, Earth Friendly Baby, The Carrying Kind, Washable Sanpro / SAS, Words of Discovery, Cornwall Yoga Centre, Cornish Credit Unions.
All packs include a copy of revolutionary holistic parenting title The Mother magazine plus information and samples to promote breastfeeding, washable sanpro and carrying your baby. To be handed out at their 28-week check-up nature's gift will be providing women with the information they need to make an informed choice about the products and practices they expose their children too.
This new initiative from the Cornish Real Nappy Project follows highly successful 1st year projects that included trials at Penrice Hospital, a loan scheme with he Credit Union and a composting trial. During 2002 and 2003, the first 2 years of the project, 690 tonnes of nappy waste were diverted from Cornish landfill sites by parents choosing to use washable nappies instead of disposable ones.
Natures Gift was a great sucess with all 1000 packs distributed. At CRNP we are looking in to the expantion of this campaign so watch this space for more details.
