Nappies - Facts

It’s time for a change...

You can not flush them or compost them.

They fill up landfills where they remain for hundreds of years
and they are called disposable nappies….

Never was a product so inappropriately named!

Every nappy that has ever been disposed of in a landfill site still
exists, 50% of all the rubbish in a one-baby family is made up
of disposable nappies.

Over 5 million trees are felled every year to supply
Britain with its nappies.

Raw sewage may contain potentially harmful viruses and
may result in the contamination of ground water and soil.

More than nine million disposable nappies are used in Britain
every day, accounting for 4% of all household
rubbish (3.2% in Cornwall).

4,500 disposable nappies or 20 cotton nappies?

The choice is yours, make a difference!
