Local Businesses Sought for Royal Cornwall Show Venture

The Cornish Real Nappy Project and Baby Information Bank (BiB) are joining forces to present the one stop shop for everything “baby and toddler” at the 2007 Royal Cornwall Show. This will be the first year that the Royal Cornwall Show will host the Family Marquee, a unique space targeted specifically at young families visiting the Show and there are still a few exhibiting spaces available for relevant local businesses.

Together, CRNP and BiB will provide a family friendly haven offering information, advice, baby and toddler related products and fun! The welcoming marquee will provide a wealth of products and information that explores the world of parenting with a particular focus on “natural” or “green” parenting. A collection of exhibitors will be available, ranging from breastfeeding, nappy and health advice to toys, gifts, clothing and food. There will also be a calm and comfortable environment for breastfeeding and baby changing as well as a programme of fun activities for children.
 
The Family Marquee will be a first for the Royal Cornwall Show and will allow many local businesses the chance to exhibit at the show for the first time. Natacha Tagholm of Baby Information Bank commented:

”We still have spaces left within the Family marquee so it is not too late for local businesses to benefit from this opportunity. Additionally we are offering companies who can’t have a physical presence at The Show the chance to include a leaflet or sample in a pack which will be available for parents.”

She went on to say:

“The Royal Cornwall Show provides the ideal opportunity to showcase some of the brilliant local businesses which are targeted at young families in Cornwall and the Family Marquee will build upon the excellent attractions and businesses which already attend the show.”

Rebecca Rapson, project manager for CRNP added: “With public concerns for the environment growing, parents are particularly keen to learn a “greener” approach to parenting and this marquee will help them to gain access to organisations and businesses that can help them make simple sustainable changes to family life.”

CRNP are a regular exhibitor at the show and have enjoyed huge successes over the past year, including receiving a National award and launching a county wide loan scheme, the first of its kind in the country. They are extremely pleased to be working in partnership with the newly established Baby Information Bank, set up by two local mums, who offer an innovative online information bank for parents. Both organisations are looking forward to adding to the Royal Cornwall Show’s appeal with their innovative marquee.
